The role of the department is to serve as a link between government and industry / civil society regarding Information Technology related initiatives. During my term, I was actively enrolled in the discussion forums of: - Definition of the national cybersecurity strategy - Legislation on digital certification in Mozambique (The SCDM aims to guarantee a secure electronic environment for electronic transactions in the public and private sector) - Law of Local Content (to offer greater protection and empowerment of national industry) - Definition of the Information Society Policy (strategic and operational plan) - Reforms of the Law to benefit the ICT business environment in Mozambique I have also acted in the leadership of Study Groups related to the following themes: - Digital inclusion: Programs aimed at increasing technology literacy in civil society - Digital Inclusion: Projects to reduce connectivity costs and expand Internet access for the population of Mozambique - Covid19: Collaborative initiatives between public and private sector to expand digital transformation (access to online services and remote working)
