I participated in a 6-weeks-long EU project (Pioneers into Practice, Climate-KIC EU) at the Municipality of Castellon de la Plana, Spain. My main role was a kind of strategic consultancy: supporting the department by finding an ideal Horizon 2020 project that the Municipality could apply to, in order to fight environmental challenges in the region. I was reading, analysing and summarising reports of previous, similar projects to help to decide and find partners to apply. Beside, I conducted a small research about the level of environmental consciousness, and the main climate issues in the region, in order to define the main priorities, needs and to provide suggestions for further projects and researches. I was working in the implementation of EU projects which aimed at developing the employment of people with disabilities (as project assistant, financial assistant and office leader) We also supported peer learning and skill exchange between professionals at European level (including the organisation of and participation on international meetings), investigating the case of people with dual diagnosis (EU - Leonardo da Vinci partnership project.
