I had the pleasure of working with Zoey and the Property Investment team at Foodstuffs for a 12-week summer internship. Thanks to her supervision, I gained a lot of practical knowledge around commercial property management and leasing. Zoey is a manager who leads by example, and I found her enthusiasm and dedication, both inspiring and motivating. It is a pleasure and honour to recommend Zoey to anyone who wants to hire her.

I commenced my role with Knight Frank as Commercial Property Analyst in January 2015 upon the completion of my degree in late 2014. Knight Frank is a successful and widely recognised global real estate brand with increasing opportunities to grow and expand my career. In this position I was heavily involved in the analysis of commercial sales and rental data; including the input and improvement of internal applications to maximise data usage effectiveness and efficiency. During my final year at Lincoln University studying a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Property Management and Valuation I gained the opportunity to work as an Intern with Knight Frank. This enabled me to obtain unquantifiable experience in my chosen field by expanding my knowledge and skill-set. Particularly, I gained knowledge in the area of accounts and leases through the assistance of large system audits. I became a Commercial Asset Manager in Oct 2015, taking on a mixed portfolio of office and retail within Central Auckland. Two key buildings included NZInvest House on the waterfront and Grant Thornton House beside Victoria Park. I created great relationships with all stakeholders, strongly focused on delivering the very best for each and every client.

During my final year at Lincoln University, I was selected to be a Residential Assistant (RA) to a cluster of 18 flats each having four students residing in them. I undertook training for the position and was responsible for the development of programmes and activities for the flats, and served as a resource and enforcement of policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all residents. It is a vital role to developing and maintaining an atmosphere of academic, personal and social growth in the residence. Being an RA is a rewarding experience. As part of the Residence team, I had the opportunity to develop and enhance my leadership and communication skills, promote and support diversity through student interactions, assist students with the transition to University and serve as a mentor and friend. I feel that I grew socially and professionally by working with people from various backgrounds and developed strong interpersonal skills, which has prepared me for success in my future careers.
