In addition to my day job, I spend time every day learning and developing new and beautiful things for my own game design projects. In the past I've built RPGs, strategy games, and platform/action games. At present I'm developing a hybrid city builder, real-time strategy game, and (maybe) more; which is allowing me to hone my coding ability and my artistic talents at the same time. I'm currently working as a contractor and developer in the ITS department of the Georgia Department of Revenue. This entails developing new code, configuration, and features for use with the FAST tax middleware; use of Oracle, SQL, and VB; and small project management. I was a team member on Epic's development group tasked with implementing government Meaningful Use rules. I built and helped Epic certify for multiple government programs, including Meaningful Use stage 2 & 3, PQRS EHR, and PQRS. I also built sections of Epic's reporting backend (a system which calculated whether physicians' actions correctly qualified them for government stipends), responded to and implemented customer requests, and contributed to technical writing and quality assurance.
