  Duke Engage is a selective program with the goal of getting Duke students to immerse themselves in various communities around the world. Conducted research on the effect of tourism on the local environment and population, environmental topics including flooding in the Bahamas, and Bahamian government response to natural disasters. The goal of this research was to raise awareness on and ultimately reduce the effects of climate change in the Bahamas. Worked with 24 organizations including Bahamas Agricultural and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI), Clifton Heritage National Park, Fort Charlotte Community Centre, and Chrysalis. Authored 4-week intensive curriculum for young Bahamian leaders focused on natural disaster management in the Bahamas.   I aimed to increase the quality of VA health economics resource and ensure veterans get the best healthcare possible with resources provided. I helped VA researchers determine the cost of VA healthcare, assess cost-effectiveness and evaluate the efficiency of VA programs. For example, I researched the opioid crisis among veterans from an economic standpoint and then presented it to the head of VA HERC.
