  1 of 14 council members from across Canada who run various initiatives promoting mental health, environmental awareness as well as equity, diversity, and inclusion. During my grade 12 year I have taken on more leadership on the Diversity FIRST and Project Green sub-teams. As a member of the council I have co-hosted a robotics talk show called FIRST Canada Live which is broadcast on Twitch. Currently I am working with the diversity FIRST subteam to create a podcast where we can talk about different issues surrounding EDI in STEM. Show less

  In this position I ensured that all sub-team tasks were completed on schedule as well as helped plan and run initiatives that have impacted over 700 people across Africa, Asia, North and South America. The largest initiative I have run was a workshop with Campfire Circle, a summer camp for children affected by cancer. I lead a team that created STEM based lesson plans for the counselors to use. This workshop ran last summer at two of Campfire Circles locations, London and Ottawa, and will likely run again next summer. Show less
