      I currently work every other Saturday as a Sessional Tutor at Wac Arts on their Disability and Inclusion programme, Wonder Wac Arts. In this role, I work with a team of other tutors to facilitate creative performing arts and sensory activities for young people with disabilities. During sessions, I work one-to-one with one of our participants to help them engage with the activities on offer. I also run short workshops, often drama based, for the whole group. I began in this role during my Master’s studies in Applied Theatre. I also volunteered with our Over-18s Disability and Inclusion group, Urban Motivation, between February 2017 and July 2019. Within this role, I supported the group’s members to develop their performing arts skills, creating termly performances that included devised drama, dance and music. I also supported them in the creation of their interactive video game, ‘Bare Peas’, for which they won the Camden Youth Award for Health and Wellbeing in 2019. I co-ordinated staffing for these outreach workshops from our tutor pool. In addition, I attended events to promote Wac Arts’ programmes and helped create promotional materials for the Diploma. I also worked with our Digital Content Creator to develop a series of video interviews with alumni from the course, answering any questions potential students may have. Lastly, I supported the Diploma Administrator in responding to enquiries from potential students.Interim Marketing Assistant (21st August 2017 - 30th September 2017)As Marketing Assistant for Wac Arts, I worked two days a week to maintain our social media platforms, create and send mailers, and write copy for the website. Whilst on tour, I would be responsible for operating lighting and sound, continuing to liaise with the venue about requirements, and organising props, costume and set. The tour was scheduled to tour Leicester, Manchester, Oxford and Bradford in April and June of 2020, but it currently postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Show less

Young people have already created a film and exhibition about the Cheltenham Estate's history, and are now devising a dramatised tour around the estate itself. As Stage Manager for this unique project, my key tasks are: - Transribing the script as it is developed by the participants - Ensuring the smooth running of rehearsals and performances around the estate - Building a good relationship with estate residents and staff, keeping them informed of performance activities - Documenting the rehearsal process, and supporting the tasks undertaken within the rehearsal My work with SPID formed the basis of my Master’s dissertation, which looked at the role of stage management on an Applied Theatre project and how it incorporated elements of pastoral care for the project members.
