Visitor Fundraiser
-
Oct 2017 - Aug 2020
My role involved welcoming visitors to the museum, answering any questions, taking donations to the museum, as well as processing any transactions from visitors through the till. I also operated and took sales for the simulator ride in the museum, which required me to work independently and follow my own initiative. This role also required me to demonstrate high communication and relationship building skills in order to ask visitors for donations and act as their customer-service representative in the museum.

Clerical Officer

Dec 2018 - Jan 2019
During the Christmas break from University I worked as a clerical officer for child and family health services at Lancashire Care Foundation Trust. In this position my role was to scan paper documents onto the computer system. To do this I used winZip and ECR, which gave me a proficiency in using these programmes. Due to the nature of the documents the role also provided me with knowledge in confidentiality procedures. Dec 2017 - Jul 2018
During the Christmas, Easter, and summer holidays I worked as a retail assistant at Matalan stores, where I served customers on the till, processed returns and refunds, answered customer queries over the phone, marked down stock to go into the sale, and maintained a neat presentation of stock within the store. In this role I interacted with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures, which gave me the opportunity to develop my interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain communication links with customers.
