Alok Saraogi
Zia and I first met when, as client, I engaged WO for a new strategic roadmap for Ashok Leyland. Over the course of 6 months leading up to a successful wrap, Zia managed to get divergent views to converge, encouraged us to consider a brand-first perspective, and shared a clear roadmap of what we needed to do to achieve our goal of being the most preferred brand of commercial vehicles in India, and the world. She’s quick on the draw, has great vantage, depth of perspective, and brings a fresh, objective and clearly articulated brand philosophy, backed by sound logic. She can be persuasive or aggressive as the situation demands, and is able to get different people to work together to solve common problems. We benefitted greatly by the work done by Zia and Wolff Olins, and I don’t think our project would have been as successful without her leadership.

Her professionalism, her astute understanding of brand strategy and her decisiveness, were all characteristics that contributed significantly to the roll-out of a world class brand and visual identity. Zia has the unique ability to rally a team behind her thoughts and ideas, coupled with the expertise to lead from the front.
