  My recent focus is on engaging Chinese government, leading companies, and consumers to tackle deforestation especially in Brazil, Indies, PNG, and Africa. Reducing plastic pollution to ocean is added to my scope since 2018. One of the remarkable progress we made is the Chinese Sustainable Meats Development Declaration WWF made together with China Meats Association and their 64 member companies in Qingdao on Oct 17, 2017. I an also a member of Global Leadership Team of WWF Global Markets Practice since April 9th, 2017.

  Led Market Transformation for responsible production and consumption of priority commodities - timber, seafood, palm oil, and soy As a director for one of the three workstreams, contributed to the development and implementation of the Strategy of China Green Shift Initiative 12 Chinese companies that managed about 50% concessions in Gabon made public commitments to protect wildlife and responsible forest management with remarkable and measureable progress compared to non-Chinese companies in the country, through a partnership with both governments in Gabon and China. 27 leading real estate developers and 28 solid flooring companies that account for 50% flooring market share in China made public commitments with actions and transparency on responsible procurement of timber products.  Made China Sustainable Retailer Roundtable work, and the Sustainable Consumption Week become more effective in consumer and retailer engagement for sustainability. Played a leading role in WWF China working together with WWF US to have established a partnership with Apple to promote sustainable forestry in China. Led collaboration with government, industry associations, NGOs, and academies. As an advisory board member of FSC China, governed FSC development in China.

  Responsible to promote sustainable forest management and responsible trade of timber products in China and beyond. Developed and Managed the strategy of GFTN-China as one of the outstanding performed country branches - recruited 44 members of Chinese leading companies, and had FSC certified 3 million ha in China and 400 thousand ha in Peru, and in process of FSC certification 330 thousand ha in Gabon.  Established and/or maintained strong partnership with remarkable outcomes with both global and domestic leading companies like Ikea, Tetra Pak, Vanke, Nature, Power Dekor, and with influential government agencies, civil societies, and academies. Introduced legality and sustainability into the China’s public procurement systems. Engaged/led fund raises from DFID, Switch-Asia, USAID, Ikea and GFTN participants.

  Responsible for exporting wood chips and other timber products.  Maintained the wood chips business most profitable in CNFC.  Added a new business scope of selling flooring in China and exporting to Korea and Canada.  Successfully applied and managed a restoration project for pumice sites in Jilin that approved by all levels of authorizes from county to Ministry of Forestry.
