• Developed various soft implantable devices for multi-modal biosensing, spatiotemporal mapping, and/or modulation. • Research on electrophysiology, fluorescence imaging, optogenetics, arrhythmias management, and more. • Led and collaborated with 4 interdisciplinary research labs at 3 different universities. Collaborators include biologists, surgeons, and mechanical/electrical/environmental engineers.• Validated biomedical devices in various biological models including mice, rats, human donor wedges, and human donor ventricular slices.• Assessed medical devices before implantation by multiple indicators, including electrical, electrochemical, mechnical, optical properties, as well as signal-to-noise ratio, durability and more. Performed systemetic electrochemical simulation to investigate the electrode-tissue interface for device performance prediction and evaluation.• Modified/applied materials and established correlated manufacturing procedures for implantable devices. Materials include noble metals, composite materials, conductive polymers, semiconductors, FDA-approved materials and more. • Designed and produced 3D renderings for different projects (including device demonstration, fabrication strategies, and application scenarios), one of which was selected as a journal cover (https://doi.org/10.1002/admt.202170041). • Mentored 6 graduate and 6 undergraduate students, including study plan design, technical training, team management, and experiment supervision. Our team aimed to develop new materials for low-cost solid-state supercapacitors with high energy density. I was responsible for the synthesis of stretchable hydrogel electrolyte with high ionic conductivity. Defended our project funding application as the team representative, during which we secured the necessary funding and recognition for our project in the Shanghai Innovation Training Project.
