      1. Permian Basin contributed 20+% of USA domestic oil production in many years. Its future looks brighter than most other conventional and unconventional oil fields. 2. UT Permian Basin Petroleum Engineering is an ABET accredited program. Its graduates recently ranked the highest paid by the media. 3. My current teaching includes (1) Engineering Mechanics, (2) Natural Gas Engineering, (3) Reservoir Description, and (4) Unconventioanl Resources. 4. My research will continue to focus on reservoir characterization for improving performance in Permian Basin and other conventional as well as unconventional oil and gas provinces, with options to clean energy (CO2 enhanced oil recovery, coalbed methane, etc.). 5. https://www.utpb.edu/academics/colleges/engineering/departments/petroleum-engineering/index

Participated in two major US DoE research projects on CO2 enhanced oil recovery and carbon sequestration. Major contributions included: 1. Created a new criterion on fluid flow in porous media; 2. Developed technologies to measure overburden- and phase-dependency of CO2 permeability; and 3. Revised a DoE reservoir simulator, MASTER.
