As the Director for Communications, I head the recruitment efforts by managing the social media and strategising new ways to expand the Group's outreach. Legal Intern at Finance Dispute Resolution Team

I worked on cases involving false statements in the security market, negotiable instruments, and commercial trusts. These cases were highly complex and the average amount in disputes exceeded RMB 300 million. When preparing for cases, I produced chronologies, relationship charts, and predictions of judge inquiries and contentious points. I also conducted substantial legal research using Wolters Kluwer, Faxin, and Alpha Lawyer, and reported directly to partners on my research results. When attending the court hearings, I was responsible for taking notes, writing hearing reports for clients, and drafting post-hearing submissions for the courts based on the judges’ key concerns. I also undertook client-faced tasks such as attending client meetings, reporting on the progress of work, and writing meeting minutes. Additionally, I had the opportunity to learn about the daily running of law firms and I participated in the pitching process including drafting tenders and pitching to potential clients. I worked on several M&As and private placement projects, and my responsibilities were mostly related to drafting and verifying due diligence reports. For example, I verified the status of nearly 1000 patents and copyrights of the target company. I also drafted share transfer agreements and a Response Letter to China Securities Regulatory Commission for clients. I was also responsible for communicating with the target companies and obtaining original material for due diligence. I mainly prepared for an ongoing class-action litigation involving allegations of mishandling administrative fees of government trust funds. I conducted case research on Nexis and wrote case briefs, legal research reports, and memos on advocacy strategies. Meanwhile, I proofread lengthy and technical documents such as investment portfolio disclosures.
