  The Programs and Grants Coordinator is responsible for all program and grantmaking administration to help ensure that program delivery is efficient and effective. This position is a key member of the organization’s administrative and programmatic teams and reports directly to the Senior Director. The Programs and Grants Coordinator helps maintain project plans, collects and inputs data, maintains the annual calendar, assists with contracts and payments, and administers internal and external communications relating to programs and grantmaking. This position serves as the program point person for Illinois Humanities Raiser’s Edge database and Foundant grantmaking software. This position also supports events on a regular basis. The Program and Grants Coordinator works with the Community Grants Program, the Odyssey Project, Sojourner Scholars, Road Scholars Speaker’s Bureau, Gwendolyn Brooks Youth Poetry Awards, Facilitation Trainings, and the Envisioning Justice initiative, amongst other programs.
