The Women’s and Trans Centre strives to represent female, femme, queer, and trans students on campus of all intersetionalities and give a platform for education and community-building. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. As an elected member of the Board of Directors, I take on decision making as well as planning and facilitating events throughout the school year such as: Queer Orientation alongside the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office at the University of Toronto and clothing drives for nearby women’s shelters. I also facilitate joint events with organizations in the nearby community to help raise awareness on issues surrounding trans women.
