New Delhi, Delhi, India I re-joined the office of Dr Md Jawed Azad, MP Kishanganj in the month of April amidst the pandemic. This internship experience has rather been very different and diverse. • The office of the Hon’ Member was flooded with distress calls from all parts of the nation because of the unplanned lockdown announced 25th march onwards for mainly ration. The primary tasks I was given was to receive calls as my number was turned into a sort of helpline number and note down their problem and… Show more I re-joined the office of Dr Md Jawed Azad, MP Kishanganj in the month of April amidst the pandemic. This internship experience has rather been very different and diverse. • The office of the Hon’ Member was flooded with distress calls from all parts of the nation because of the unplanned lockdown announced 25th march onwards for mainly ration. The primary tasks I was given was to receive calls as my number was turned into a sort of helpline number and note down their problem and address and connect them to the local authorities and youth congress teams. The initial 3 months(April-June) went doing this and his office helped tens of thousands of migrants, students and vulnerable classes with ration and returning to their home place. • During the month of June I along with a supreme court Lawyer was assigned with the task of drafting a Private Member’s bill, title [THE RENEWABLE (COMPULSORY INSTALLATION OF SOLAR AND WATER HARVESTING PLANTS) ENERGY ACT, 2020]. The Hon’ Member got the bill prepared by us and proof read by various senior Supreme Court Advocates and it is set to be presented in the upcoming Monsoon session of 2020. The submission of the bill has been acknowledged by the Parliament on 11th Sept’20. • During the Month of September the Hon’ Member has assigned a Supreme Court Lawyer and the task of preparing an amendment document for the purpose of increasing the penalty in the “Prevention of cruelty to Animals Act 1960” from Rs 50. The amendment has been accepted by the Lower House on 16th Sept’20 • The parliament commenced on 14th of Sept and prior to that I had been given the task of submitting unstared questions. The answer of which are coming during the session. I have also prepared zero hour debates and speech on various bill being tabled in the Lok Sabha. Show less
