Project manager and system lead for the LEOniDAS team from Cranfield University taking part in this year's edition of ESA's Fly Your Thesis! programme. Through these parabolic flights, the LEOniDAS team will be validating several drag sails for de-orbiting small satellites at end-of-life. Our solution aims to tackle two key challenges in the space industry: the sustainability of future space missions and reducing debris in low Earth orbit.

Assisted with a short-term UKSA Pathfinder research project with Cranfield University, Belstead Research Ltd. and SSTL to improve the University’s drag sails. Focused on studying the impact of sail deployment on the satellite’s short- and long-term dynamics and altering designs to improve the mission performance.

• Organised bi-weekly International Operation calls, allowing engine managers worldwide to discuss updates and raise issues.• Updated a variety of technical documents ranging from engine disk sheets to time adjusted cost to market values.• Resolved customer issues on a case by case basis. Most common problems included relaying technical data to customers in a simplified format and granting consultants access to sensitive documents.
