  Zanelle manages the strategic spatial planning for private and public development projects across the country including the handling of land use applications for rezoning, subdividing, consent use, departures, removal of restrictive title conditions and more in urban and rural areas, while also facilitating and addressing related objections for municipalities, including Swartland, Bergrivier, Saldanha, Cederberg, Drakenstein, Stellenbosch, Witzenberg, Matzikama and the City of Cape Town. She administers land use applications to obtain required rights for government projects such as housing, land swops and authority uses. Zanelle assists with the drafting, editing and review of various SDFs for municipalities. She also performs general project management duties for both privately and publicly-funded projects from their inception through to project close-out. Her additional duties include managing, evaluating and training Candidate Planners for 2-year practical assessments as well as layout planning for various types of industrial, residential and commercial projects. Key highlights include: Administered several strategic land use rights projects for temporary desalination plants within the City of Cape Town as well as land management plans for Eskom renewable energy sites. Assisted with the drafting and editing of the Swartland and Cederberg Municipalities spatial development frameworks (SDFs) in 2017 and review of the Swartland SDF in 2019. Drafted maps and documents outlining the Swartland and Cederberg Human Settlement Plan in 2015. Designed 6,000+ erven for the Finance Linked Individual Subsidy Programme (FLISP), Integrated Residential Development Programme (IRDP) and the Upgrading of Informal Settlements Programme (UISP) housing across multiple municipalities. Compiled land use applications and designed human settlement developments for subsidised housing. Conducted feasibility studies for human settlement developments in Stellenbosch and Bergrivier.
