Ms. Williams manages the agency’s volunteer program. She is responsible for coordinating educational, recreational and entertainment activities for the residents of Shepherd’s Cove homeless shelter. She also oversees facilities management. Ms. Williams maintains the events calendar and volunteer program contact database as well as the highly active donor database. Responding efficiently to telephone, email and in-person inquiries regarding donations, Ms Williams works daily with shelter staff and volunteers. She also serves as major outreach coordinator for business, churches, organized clubs and groups in connection with Shelter Manager and President/CEO. Ms. Williams attends meetings and events on behalf of UCAP/Shepherd’s Cove, representing the shelter in administrative/support staff committee as needed. Zakiyah joined the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington in March 2012. Previously, Zakiyah worked in the areas of communications, public relations and private event planning in Washington, DC. She enjoys volunteering with Americorps, the YWCA and many other youth related service organizations in the Greater Washington Region. Zakiyah graduated from Howard University's John H.
