Served as advisor to the Superintendent and managed the day-to-day operations of Camden City Schools, a public school district of 26 schools, 10,000 students, 2,000 employees, with a $350 million operating budget. • Supervised and managed the daily activities of the district, including direct management of the finance and business office, talent and labor relations, facilities, technology, school leader and teacher evaluation, and the Superintendent’s office • Implemented a staffing model at the District’s schools that closed the funding gap created by a $25M revenue shortfall in FY15, and a $20M revenue shortfall in FY16. Dramatically reduced non-personnel related overhead costs, cutting $28M in FY15 and $11M in FY16 • Successfully negotiated four labor contracts, including the local teacher’s union contract • Succeeded in reducing the central office administration headcount by 45% by reorganizing org structure and managing the change management aspect of the work Show less
