The research utilizes a specialized microscope (Atomic Force Microscopy) in order to study a fluorescent bacteria, Stigmatella aurantiaca. The purpose of the research is to study a chromophore containing protein found in Stigmatella aurantiaca. The significance is to manipulate these chromophores as markers in the medical field to identify and target tumors in organisms. This will serve as a safer alternative in identifying cancerous tumors in organisms. As a volunteer intern, I was able to shadow the Marketing manager and the Network engineer. With my years of experience there, I have developed communication skills, marketing insight, and technical expertise in computers, phone systems, and electronics. The training from GCS, Inc. allows me to diagnose and repair basic internal and external network faults; whether it is a network of computers, internet-linked devices, a telecommunication network or a combination of all of these devices.
