Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

 Worked as a mechanical engineer with HRCC for construction of deep storm water drainage system in the heart of Srinagar city under J&K Era funded by ADB ( Asian Development Bank)  Responsibilities included working efficiently and closely with the construction team (Civil engineers and labours) to meet the deadlines and achieve project milestones within a given space of time.  As a mechanical engineer I was responsible for carrying out a routine check on the heavy equipment used in the project e.g. Water draining pumps, excavators, cranes and other heavy equipment.  My duties also included working closely with the technicians to overlook the maintenance work done on the heavy machinery and water draining pumps  I was also responsible for raising purchase orders in case any part of the machinery was malfunctioning or totally dysfunctional  My responsibilities also included visiting different sites of construction to keep a regular check on the machinery and diesel and electrical pumps and also maintaining a logbook for recording the time frame for dewatering and operational time of the pumps.  I was also responsible for providing technical support to civil engineers working on the project for maintenance of any ruptured water pipelines during the excavation work for the drainage system.
