As an intern, in maintenance engineering at Volvo Trucks, I was involved in numerous projects including the completion of kaizens to quantify the benefit of completing other projects. One of these projects included the sourcing of various parts to a vital piece of equipment within the facility in order to ensure a timely repair. It was determined that the benefit-to-cost ratio for this particular project, was 104.6. Thus, resulting in an estimated company savings of approximately $506,880.00. Additionally, I worked on various building layouts in AutoCAD which lead to the completion of risk assessment maps as well as numerous training maps for the 1.6 million square foot facility. Another one of my key responsibilities at Volvo Trucks was the completion of spare parts ledgers that served as a form of documentation which listed all the parts and the respective location within the plant for a particular asset. This asset documentation served to minimize equipment downtime and optimize production. Show less
