Circa 1860-1870. - Duties included helping to plot and dig test pits, measuring removing soil and assisting with the retrieval and conservation of artifacts including cloth hat fragments, pipe fragments, coins, pottery and earthenware goods and other objects. - Discovered the original basement foundation and walls a of Avery's father cabinet shop which was established around 1828. - Earliest Coin that was discovered was an 1806 Large Cent on the site of the Cabinet Shops foundation.
