Responsibilities I was a retail sales associate that sold appliances, electronics, furniture, and bedding. Skills Used I've been able to develop my selling ability under the tutelage of veteran earners who know their craft. King's has been a huge opportunity for me to hone in my people skills, as well. Not just interacting with customers everyday, but also developing a strong, working relationship with my co-workers. A commission sales floor is a tough place to learn because it forces you to be work on your feet and adaptable from the start. Show less

Assistant Manager
-
May 2011 - Jun 2014
Responsibilities I ran the floor with crews of up to 12 employees. I was tasked with training new hires and making sure they understand the business. I handled cash drawers every night as well as bank deposits. It was my job to complete nightly paperwork. I also took care of most of any customer complaints. Accomplishments I was promoted for a regular crew worker to an Assistant Manager after only a few weeks. Enough trust was displayed in me, that I was the primary trainer for the location. I was also granted the opportunity to be the interim General Manager of the entire building. Skills Used I handled a lot of money there and I gained a lot of confidence in my ability to do so. I had to use customer service skills to settle any issues a customer may have. Leadership skills were also a big part of the job. I was, oftentimes, the only manager on the floor, so employees looked to me for direction. Show less
