  My first night of work at AMC Theaters was the opening night for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Nothing could have prepared me better for working at the theater. While I was often an usher for the theater, my tasks varied wildly. I often worked Concessions which was responsible for getting the customers the right deal for them as well as cleaning the back room at the end of the night. As an usher, I was responsible for taking tickets and showing people to their theaters, cleaning the majority of the theater in between rush periods as well as the large cleaning at the end of the night, and making sure that people were not filming illegally or bothering other movie-goers. Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary

  As an intern at the Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary, I assisted and facilitated the day to day tasks that needed to be completed for the Sanctuary to function. I stayed in facility-owned housing and started the day by letting the big cats out into their enclosures before then cleaning out the enclosure changing junction. Other days began with preparing meals for the cats while the other intern handled cleaning. This entailed balancing what sorts of meat that each cat desired and giving them proper portions, up to 16 pounds for our largest cats. Other responsibilities involved giving guided tours of the facility to visitors, cleaning the surrounding area, preparing enrichment items for the cats, and preparing for larger events such as elementary schools coming to visit.
