R&D Specialist III
-
Aug 2018 - Nov 2019
I designed, developed and implemented cell biology technologies and produce valuable plants and protocols for research and breeding programs. I grew and studied plants in the lab, greenhouse and field with the help of the lab technicians I've trained. I've worked with tomato, 12 different wild relatives of tomato, watermelon, melon, onion and artichoke. I've designed and conducted successful projects in micropropagation, interspecific hybridization and doubled-haploid production. I've designed and constructed custom tools which have improved research and protocol efficiency. I am well-practiced and comfortable with delicate work such as aseptic dissections under a microscope. I strive for the overall success of projects by familiarizing myself with the methods and needs of other departments to provide them with better products. Show less
