As the Associate Test Engineer intern it is my responsibility to establish mechanical connector quality in all torque controlled connectors. Going through relationships between screw threading and plating, material resistance, contact resistance, wire size and class, it is my responsibility to establish the correct torque for all connector products controlled by torque as well as have clearly defined relationships between factors such as plating, threading, contact area, conductor resistance and robustness. As part of the GE Aviation production team, I worked as a machine operator in the sector assembly cell. I operated a Flash Welder, Weld Broacher, Bench Grinder, CNC Lathe, and a Chop Saw. In addition, I had to read Engineering documents to ensure parts fit tolerances of only a few thousandths of an inch. The instruments I used to do this were: Anvil Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Dial Calipers, Oditest Gauges, as well as Drop Micrometers.
