I was working as a veterinary surgeon in “ThermisVet” for 3 years. ThermisVet is a new small animal clinic in the suburb of Thermi which is located 8 Km outside of Thessaloniki. I was on duty with another veterinary surgeon specialized in small animal medicine. This small animal practice includes mainly internal medicine, dermatology, and opthalmology cases, as well as soft tissue and elective orthopedic surgeries. I was also involved in emergency and intensive care unit. Meanwhile, I was the only vet for the exotic animal medicine department. I managed mainly small mammals (rodents, lagomorphs), songbirds, tortoises, terrapins and lizards. The majority of cases included internal medicine and dermatology, but we often performed dental, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

I was working as a locum vet in the island of Skopelos for 3 months. I was running a small but well equipped veterinary clinic dealing with small and large animals, working also in the field. The position was very demanding as I was the only vet, and I had to deal with difficult surgical cases only supported by a student nurse.
