  Joined the YMCA team (Now known as Aligned Leisure) as a part time Lifeguard at Wodonga WAVES & Wodonga Sports & Leisure Centre. Over the course of 4 years as a Lifeguard, I was exposed to many experiences, skills and professional mentoring. Experiences that I have had the pleasure to accumulate range from;- Creating new and still active to this day friendships - Frequent Lifeguard training at the start of each season premiere- Peformed x3 saves over the 4 years- YMCA team events - Understanding of Facility Operation Systems & Procedures - OHS Practices (Ranging from PPE - Chemcial Safety) Skills that I have developed; - First Aid - Defibrillation experience - Lifeguard Course - Teamwork & team building - Communcaition skills (General & Lifeguard Orientated) - Problem Solving (First Aid Scenarios etc) - Attention to detail (Lifeguard Course requires high attention to detail from controlled supervision of infants to applying first aid and also during Emergency protocols) Professional mentoring that I received;- Throughout LIfeguard probation period (Shadowing Senior Lifeguards on procedures, duties, and strategies around Aquatic Safety)- Lifeguard & First Aid Updates (Experiencing current protocols from certified Life Saving Victoria Professionals) Achievments ; Was nominated to attend a 2015 YMCA Youth Development Program, having demonstrated Leadership qualities as apart of the Lifeguard team. This program consisted on attending a week long camp, along with others from varying YMCA branches throughout Victoria.
