I was impressed with Yvonne from our very first meeting: Extremely professional, well organized, and a strategic visionary. Over the years I became even more impressed with her ability to research, scope, and bring to fruition a complex alumni mentorship program that grew exponentially every year. While initially designed to accommodate only local mentors, Yvonne was extremely open to a trial of remote mentoring (with me as a guinea pig!), and it turned into a successful extension of Yvonne's efforts as she continued to grow this channel. Yvonne is articulate, knowledgeable, passionate, hard working and committed. She would be an asset to any organization lucky enough to work with her.

Since the fall of 2014 I have known and worked collaboratively with Yvonne as a mentor with the Carleton University Alumni Mentors’ program. I have been impressed with her openness as well as her superior organisational, collaboration and time management skills. For the past three years she has facilitated high quality pairings of student and mentor. She has organised various functions to enhance this program and by extension student learning. All were well prepared and organised. Speakers were relevant to facilitate learning and she was always open to new ideas to enhance program delivery. She has excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Meetings with her were punctual, cordial and professional. One always felt welcomed by her. For volunteers and students that is important for any program to succeed. She mastered those skills.

Yvonne invited me to be a mentor in the Carleton University Alumni Mentors program in 2015. In our first meeting she impressed me with her professionalism, clarity of purpose and method, and engaging style. In our many interactions over the past two years she has deepened that impression and added to it. I've seen her as an exceptional program manager and a natural networker, bringing people together in a clearly structured program and helping them connect in a series of events that was well-paced and varied. She has a rare talent for tending to both the forest and the trees -- the whole program, and the individuals in it.
