  With over 20-years’ experience in economic development my current role involves me managing a large team to support Sheffield businesses to succeed and grow. I have a collaborative approach and work with partners across the city to deliver a successful business support programme. Business Sheffield supports start-ups and small businesses in Sheffield with Advisor support, an extensive workshop programme and a large scale networking event (the largest in the city). I also manage a team of specialist advisors working with manufacturing and tech businesses which includes close working with both universities on productivity innovation for manufacturing businesses and tech spin outs. I have experience as a Board member, I am used to strategic planning, financial planning and monitoring with an agile approach to decision making and refocusing activity to reflect changes in the economy and local issues. I currently represent the issues of business on a Sheffield City Council Brexit Working Group.
