Eye Inspire

  Eye Inspire is an outreach project funded in mainly by Sync Inspire CIC, which aims to inspire young people with sight loss to achieve their goals. We have a team or ever-growing “inspiration warriors” and we arrange talks by these VIPs (visually impaired people, and of course very important people!) to sight loss youth groups across the UK and internationally. We welcome anyone who would like to join our team to get in touch through the website. We also would like to hear from any sight loss youth group for us to arrange the talks at their clubs or premises. On World Sight Day 2020 (8th October) we published our “Emerging Proud Through Sight Loss” book, which includes 17 stories from visually impaired people who have achieved amazing things from across the globe. Audio book version will be distributed to sight loss youth groups across the UK and internationally for free early 2021. The book is available to purchase through Amazon worldwide in paperback or Kindle. We shall be producing audio book and braille book versions to be available in 2021. B-Side Project

  I founded the B-Side Project with the main objective to merge music and to provide additional platforms for music artists, both of original music and electronic production. It is now in association with world renowned publication Sound On Sound, and sponsored by Prism Sound and Genelec, with partners such as Tileyard Studios, Audio Technica, ROLI & ACS Custom.Successful and popular remix tracks encourage the interest in original tracks, to the point where an artist or band has found their first break due to an alternative version of their song. In addition to this, synching agreements within the advertising and film industries have provided amazing opportunities for artists (think of all the Levi’s ads and the success of the tracks used within them).The project launched in 2009 with pilots taking place in Norwich and Cambridge. 2010-2011 saw the first full year with projects in 6 UK cities. The project is now on a worldwide scale taking place on an annual basis, with new electronic music releases on B-Side Recordings from 2018.In 2018 the UK Music Student Remix Awards was launched in association with Hospital Records and Med School.
