Investigated on how diverse medical classifications of blood test results is examined and surveyed through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) which would ultimately contribute to the optimization of electronic medical record inspections by 15%. Incorporated additional functions, such as automatic fluid dispensing and assay imaging, using Arduino to the Mobile ELISA, which is a more compact and cost-effective version of traditional ELISA. Bulls-EYE Mentoring Cohort 4 Mentor

The Bulls-EYE Mentoring program promotes STEM through problem-solving and life skill activities for underrepresented middle school kids near the USF community. As a mentor, I was grouped with 3 students and together we designed and built competitive robots for various projects using Tetrix Prime and MyRio. Without prior experience in robotics, I was challenged to learn robotics with the students and the program designed it that way so we can also apply relative life skills and learn how to collaborate with the resources and knowledge we have. As a product development intern in the Application and Technology Group (A&TG) within Wyeth, I was tasked with conducting quality tests on infant milk formula produced from our process trials. The milk we produced specifically was not for retail distribution but for research purposes only to improve the current milk Wyeth had on the market. I also collaborated with fellow interns in the department on projects such as product benchmarking and ingredient research. As the State Secretary of the Florida College System Student Government Association, I was responsible for taking the meeting minutes of our executive board conference calls and state meetings. I am also in charge of gathering a contacts' information sheet of all the Student Government Associations from the different campuses within the Florida College System. Other duties were to help wherever needed. An additional responsibility of mine was to serve as the Co-chair of the new Engagement Committee, which was introduced to help with the state-wide communication between districts and overall event morale during conferences.
