Project Lead Connected and Dynamic Services
-
Aug 2019 - Mar 2020
In this role, I amleading the activities of 2 development teams. On one hand, I am leading the development team that works on the development of a map distribution service for NDS map data. This product is developed as a cloud-native application on Amazon AWS, with a focus on low latency and scalability, to be able to support a large customer base of potentially millions of cars connecting to the service. On the other hand, I am also responsible fot the development activities of a versatile team, working on internal project to support Mapscape's business development. This team developed a client application for the Map Distribution system that my other team created, to be able to visualize and inspect the functionality of the Map Distribution system. After that, also a large-scale simulation system was created, to simulate a working mode where thousands of clients are connecting to the system at once.In parallel, also a data processing system for traffic information is part of the portfolio. This system ingests the traffic data continuously, performs data aggregation and cleaning, before submitting to the Navinfo backbone in support of Autonomous Driving services. Show less

Software Engineer
-
Aug 2007 - Mar 2010
Fourtress is a software consulting firm, which has customers all over the Eindhoven area. During my time with Fourtress, I started with the design of a home-automation project, which colleagues used later on as a basis to develop a working prototype within the new (October 2007) Fourtress office. Shortly after this initial project, I was hired to Mapscape BV (former Siemens VDO), where I stayed until April 2010, when I eventually joined the company. Within Fourtess, I also had the opportunity to take some high-rated courses in personal development and communication skills, which helped me a lot to develop my professional position within my job at Mapscape and to create a solid basis for my future career.
