I worked with Yuxi on a capstone project as part of our master's coursework. Yuxi was an excellent teammate. I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to work with her. She has all the characteristics that make a good analyst. She is very intelligent and can work her way through any coding challenge. She also was able to easily understand the complex topics from our coursework and apply them to our project. In addition to Yuxi's great skills as an analyst, I would like to highlight Yuxi's personal characteristics that made her such a pleasure to work with. She has a great work ethic. Though Yuxi was balancing our project with her other courses and consulting work at a nonprofit organization, she never failed to do what she promised. When we hit roadblocks as a team, Yuxi would never sit back and let someone else figure out the problem. She always took up that responsibility and figured out the problem with us as a team. She is kind and has a lot of emotional intelligence - these are things that can't easily be learned. Lastly, I would like to strongly emphasize Yuxi's excellent command of the English language and good communication skills in general. Yuxi never struggled to get her message across. In fact, her explanations of complex topics helped me to better understand some of the math and coding concepts. Likewise, Yuxi was good at picking up what I and our colleagues were trying to say. Outside of language, Yuxi was great at making PowerPoints and visualizations. Yuxi is a great colleague and a wonderful person. Any team would be lucky to have her.
