  I have had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer wildlife rescue officer with ACRES which required me to handle calls from the public, education regarding native wildlife as well as animal rescue. Some of the wildlife I have encountered during rescue work, Sunda pangolin, equatorial spitting cobra, white bellied sea eagle, Malayan water monitor lizard and civet cats.   I completed a 10-week Internship in Singvet Animal Clinic where I was exposed to a multitude of Veterinary procedures.   I was tasked with the construction of perches for chickens who were soon to be housed in an enrichable layer cage system in Seng Choon farm. During the two weeks I spent there, I understood how meticulous one had to be, when it came to handling livestock and minimising loss in revenue as well as loss of livestock lives. This attachment really kindled the flame in me to seriously pursue veterinary medicine.
