During my last year as a student at LTH I met Yusak Budi Susilo and had the pleasure to have him as my supervisor during my advanced course in the Applied Microbiology Department. As a student who worked in a research project with Yusak, I found him extremely pedagogic with excellent laboratory and supervisory skills. I was particularly impressed by his great knowledge in the field and the way he encouraged and motivated me to achieve excellent results in my project. He is ambitious, professional and he had a passion to help students during his PhD studies. He always received me and other students with a smile on his face and made us feel welcome although he was extremely busy. His great supervision skills, inspiring and motivating meetings and discussions and encouragement resulted not only in the outstanding results that I achieved in my research project at that time but also during my Master Degree project. I feel very privileged that Yusak has been my supervisor, helped and motivated me through my research project (advanced course) at LTH. I believe his expertise and skills will bring him far in future and he is definitely a great asset for any biotechnology or microbiology company. It’s a great pleasure to recommend Yusak Budi Susilo

I met Yusak during the last year and half of his PhD, when I started working in the Division of Applied Microbiology of Lund University. During this period I was impressed by Yusak´s maturity and ability to develop his experiments in a very autonomous way. I believe he is a really nice person and an outstanding researcher, and definitely a great asset for any biotechnology or food microbiology company.
