  Coming out of Stanford University, Affinity Circles was one of the earliest social networks, sharing roots with Google's Orkut and predating Facebook. It became a white label private social network platform for many universities across the US. Quickly transitioned from developing desktop and server software to working on a web service, picking up new languages and frameworks along the way. In the last year of Affinity Circle's run, in hopes of rescuing the company's future, I helped rally the company behind the vision of a new product aimed at helping new college grads land their first jobs. Serving in a backend role working alongside a frontend engineer, we ran as a lean startup within the company to build a MVP.
