  Account Access (2011 - 2015) - Designed and implemented server side of access token/cookie/SSO system for Facebook’s mobile apps Added anti-spam features into session management system, completely eliminating some types of malicious activity - Ensured that authentication kept up with the shift of most user activity from web to mobile apps. Ramped up many new grads joining the team, and supported many cross-team projects (such as helping build Oculus’s authentication infra from the start, many spam fighting improvements). Web Foundation (2015 - present) - Handled (investigated, escalated, and/or remediated) many user-facing issues, fixed many chronic reliability pain points that affected Facebook’s main web tier or its dependencies. Also taught others how to debug issues quickly. - Drove the migration of Facebook’s web tier from manually driven deployment 3x per day to automated deployment ~10x per day - Worked cross-functionally to make sure we had the service needed to continue providing product teams the platform they needed to serve users (working with product, compiler, network, hardware, efficiency, and other infrastructure teams).
