I'm very grateful to be part of the U21 Sustainable Micro Internship program during my summer break. The program helps me continue to be a Global Citizen. During the 2 weeks intensive micro-internship, I teamed up with 8 peers from different universities all over the world. We overcome the time differences and together we researched solutions for the dilemma of international students getting employed in their home country and prepare them better for the job market. This micro-internship really help me step out of my comfort zone and encourage me to study and research many new things from other areas while still bringing the experience I gained from my study of architecture. Many thanks to the organisers and my teammates for creating such an open and safe space for us to freely discuss issues and solutions. We embraced our differences and enjoyed our debates and idea exchange process. Teamworking skills and interpersonal skills I have learned throughout this program will be carried on with me into my future study and work. #microinternship #commonpurpose #globalcitizen #u21universities Show less
