I spent time with a senior marine cargo underwriter on a box in Lloyd’s of London. During this time, I gained an important understanding of risk analysis and the issues that need to be taken into consideration before writing insurance and reinsurance. I have also gained an in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of underwriting and its importance in preventing potential risks. Jun 2014 - Jul 2014
I worked as an au pair for a Spanish family which was challenging as I lived and worked in a suburb of Madrid without any Spanish language skills to begin with. This environment helped me to develop my communication skills, work under pressure, as well as expand my language skills. I have had first hand experience working with a team of secretaries and experienced filing documents both electronically through the Microsoft office suite and manual filing systems. This built up my teamwork skills as I helped administrate the integration and communication of various interlinking teams.
