Despite the short timeline, I was able to manage my time and workload to create a 33-page research report, a summary infographic, and a presentation that was later given to 100+ public and private stakeholders in a webinar on national security (with valuable advice and help from my supervisors, of course). I also learnt about and used machine learning, deep learning, and social network analysis methods to process large amounts of data, even though I had 0 prior direct experience in these before. Simultaneously, I also led the webinar communications committee in organising guest invitations and enquiries for over 500+ participants and organised multiple employee bonding activities. In this position, I was able to improve my research skills, work independently, and overcome any limiting beliefs I had about being able to learn seemingly complicated forms of data analysis and technology. I provided 100+ hours of emotional support and group moderation to anonymous users facing a wide range of issues and received commendations for excellent support and service. This experience was invaluable in helping me improve my interpersonal and active listening skills, and also allowed me to help others in a meaningful and impactful way.
