Founder/Design Director of La Maison Interiors, Dubai/Abu Dhabi, UAE (Inception 2010). Leadership role of managing a mid-size (35+ employees) interior design firm managing both, Design & construction departments, managing the firm’s day-to-day operations, managing projects from concept level up to construction stage, and turn-key solutions for high-end projects. Lead and mentor team members, manage project budgets, review, and approve outgoing drawing packages and handle all aspects of the construction administration process. • Inspire and mentor the team and help them grow as creative professionals, well versed in cultural and lifestyle shifts. • Responsible for the management of multiple interior design projects to ensure quality, timeliness, and profitability and solve field issues. • Coordinate with MEP, A/C contractors to avoid future conflicts between design elements early and before construction starts. • Prepare project teamwork plans and coordinate between consultants, architects, interior designers, general contractors, and vendors. • Actively manage, track financial angle and performance of the projects, prepare legal documents including contracts, quotations, proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, assign a budget, coordinate the bidding process, and handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and style. • Leading the design and construction teams for complicated projects requiring an experienced eye for the technical details such as palaces, large scale residential villas, retail, hospitality, commercial, and sports facilities projects for high-profile clients. • Considering growth, revenue, profitability through design and execution stages, ensure projects conform to contract. • Business development and marketing, securing new projects, marketing the firm in UAE and Gulf area in general. • Show less
