I provide nursing leadership for the unit of quality and patient safety at department of nursing services administration. The unit is responsible for the development of policies and monitoring their application in order to improve the performance and provide distinct nursing services for addicts and mental ill patient, the unit also shares other unit like nursing direction, training and continuous education To work together in order to raise the efficiency of their nurses . Also we follow the incidents report which we receive from the words so as to initiate the improvement projects. Recently I have been involved as member in committee of KPI, Which follow to the Executive Office of the Complex, to apply the strategy of Saudi Arabia which conducive to improve the therapeutic services in psychiatric hospitals and addiction centers.

In fact I was lucky to be one of the first two nurses those have been recruited to work for this center which is pioneer center in treating the patients those struggling with Alcohol and drug addiction in Sudan. I participated effectively in establishing the center in general and nursing department in particular, through setting of policies regarding psychiatric nursing role in addiction settings. And I had appreciated opinion with disciplines, shared in setting therapeutic program and daily activities for inpatient unite. My responsibilities as staff nurse involve following the patient behavior and cognitive improvement though the model of change Appling the nursing intervention from precontemplation stage a across contemplation, preparation, determination, action, maintenance and relapse and over all early detection of withdrawal symptoms and effective intervention. And as head nurse my responsibilities include directing the nursing staff, training them especially new haired nurse. Also I acted in public awareness program regard addiction through direct forms with community, Sudan FM. radio channel, regarding substance abuse by coordination with the community awareness department at hayat rehab center.
