I have interacted with Younes in extracurricular activities where he actively managed the university channel network. Younes is a detail-oriented dynamic person. He demonstrated that he can get his idea through, federate thought around that idea and most importantly: energize people to commit to its execution. I witnessed this leadership skill first hand when Younes re-thought the concept of the university channel, sold the concept to the different stakeholders (active members, students’ activities officers), and ensured a thorough follow up for a smooth transition into the new upgrade of the channel network. Younes’ main strength is his ability to convey messages at various levels of complexity while being sensible to the different audiences’ buttons. A recent time when I saw his magic in action was in june 2011 at the Al Akhawayn University 14th commencement where his peers entrusted him as class representative. Younes delivered a memorable speech that left the audience on the edge of their seats, made some people cry then laugh, but above all and most importantly, gave a most flattering image of the quality of education he received during his curriculum.
