I started at Tick42 when the company was still around 20-30 people. Apart from the friendly and open atmosphere, I had the chance to grow my decision making skills along with the pure technical ones since a lot of creative freedom was given to the developers in terms of finding the most suitable solution to the problem at hand. I had the chance to learn from very experienced peers and get a hands-on experience on a lot of concepts and frameworks that were new to me at the time. That's also where I eventually made my first steps into web development, after spending the prior years doing purely desktop work. Show less

My first professional experience as a developer. Started as a junior on the JustDecompile team. At that time the product was still in Beta, so we got to do a lot of the foundational work that later made it to live. This was the first time I got to experience what it means to really work in a collaborative environment, using source control tools and having to review and merge other people's code. The job was mainly focusing on the algorithmic side of decompiling code - recognition of higher-level structures from MSIL and ensuring no regressions sneaked in via continuous unit testing.
