Galatasaray High School, established in 1481 is the oldest, most prestigious and selective public high school in Turkey. Access to the school is open to all students with a high nationwide high school entrance score (approximately top-scoring 0.005% of students across the country). My work here consists in:• Teaching Physics in French language to students in 9th and 10th grade.• Fully updating and rewriting the physics textbooks in French language for 9th and 10th grades both for students and teachers.• Head of Physics-Chemistry group: Participation in teacher’s recruitment in the subjects. Coordination between the administration and the Physics-Chemistry teacher’s team.• Staff representative (for 2 years): Active communication with the whole teaching team. Participation in group meetings between members of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service at French Embassy in Turkey (our employer), Establishment directors and other staff representatives. I worked as a senior lecturer for the Pre-France programs which are 13 months long excellence programs aimed for high academic performance selected students to pursue their studies in France either in Engineering or in Political Science and Business Management. My work consisted in: • Teaching Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Physics both in English and French language to students in the Engineering program. • Teaching Mathematics both in English and French language to students in the Political Science program • Developing, reviewing and updating the Mechanical Engineering lessons in collaboration with French universities (Mechanical Engineering departments of IUT Aix-Marseille and IUT Toulon) • Science Teaching Unit Leader: Coordination of the science teacher’s team in order to ensure that the quality and standard of every exam is consistent with the subject objectives and Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) requirement • Mentoring of student groups: Following up the students performances and providing them academic counseling accordingly.
