in this occasion, I worked with one of the famous photographers in the Surabaya. he name is Mochtret, and also he's a lecturer at Airlangga University.This batik from Wistara, and Wistara is the one of the famous batik craftsman in Surabaya. not only that, but also they have contributed to society. they train children with disabilities to improve their skills and get jobs.Anyways, this batik is called Semanggi Surabaya. literally, semanggi means clover, but in addition Semanggi comes from the abbreviation of "Semangat Tinggi" or high spirit with the hope that whoever wears this batik understands the fighting spirit of the city of Surabaya. in this occasion, I worked with various parties, both from the Surabaya city government itself and sponsorship. The sponsors are Mochtret as a photoghrapher, Diajeng Absarin as a make up artist and Lilik Dameria Ambuwaru as a deginer. We colaborate to promote our products formed in batik. Also, Mrs Lilik damerian very famous, she known as Pak Eri Cahyadi's (the Mayor of Surabaya) designer.this batik namely Batik Teyeng Surabaya, "Teyeng" means rusty. why it named by rusty? it's because in the coloring process, the batik craftmant using rusty metal for the raw material. also, it become famouse because the symbol of surabaya on the chest of the cloths. in 2022 our goals is to promote Surabaya Batik and on this occasion, I collaborated with one of the famous designers of the city of Surabaya, namely alben ayu bandal. beside that, we also collaborate with various parties. such as the Surabaya government, Mrs Putu as a Batik Designer, Diajeng Absarin as a makeup artist, Mochtret as a photographer.This batik named by one of the legend story in surabaya, Sawunggaling or Joko Barek. he's mayor son in old surabaya, but his father unrecognized him because his father left him and his mother a long time ago. To get recognition from his father, Joko Barek ventured to take part in a contest, namely cockfighting. he brought his rooster and won the race against his stepbrother. but still, his father won't recognized him to become his child. Until one day his father held a competition for his descendants, anyone who can shoot arrowheads will become the heir to the throne of old Surabaya. Joko Barek did it well, he become mayor of old Surabaya and changed his name become Raden Sawunggaling. Based on this story, this batik has a philosophy of being brave, honest, brave and never giving up. in addition, the clover motif or pattern around this batik illustrates the high spirit. The hope is that whoever wears this batik has noble qualities. Show less

on this occasion, I represent The Cak dan Ning of Surabaya to discuss the contribution of youth in diplomatic relations between Surabaya, Indonesia and Kochi, Japan in the Remo x Yosakoi cultural festival. as far as i know, cultural festival between Surabaya and Kochi always held in surabaya, but in the future (maybe in 2023) hopefully this event will be held on Japan. this is the key to make economic advantages to make Surabaya to become the best city in Indonesia.
