In this full-time summer job, I was on foot throughout my 10-hour long shifts 4 times a week, so I got really used to working hard and smart. I quickly mastered my core duty of picking by developing a deep understanding of the warehouse operations, and was consistently praised as one of the best workers in my department. Aside from that, I feel like my most important contribution was bringing a smile and a positive attitude to work everyday. I developed a great relationship with many of my colleagues and higher ups, which I am very grateful for. A bonus benefit I managed to get was to develop my knowledge of Russian through communicating with my Ukrainian co-workers. I was also happy to help them gain some confidence with using English.
